The first memory that comes to mind is meeting on a roof deck in Manhattan sometime between 2010-2012 at a party that I was invited to by a mutual friend. At that time, Chakana Inca was spinning records as his party starter alias Kid Chalupa. He was playing an excellent mix of crowd pleasers and subtle underground cuts in the mix. I liked his extroverted approach to reading the room and I introduced myself. I had no idea we would end up being good friends for so long since that day.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eChakana Inca, to me, is a mature departure from his playful alias Kid Chalupa. Chakana Inca's style is a much more personal expression of his life journey, and he is not afraid to embrace his Spiritual and Native influence in his music.
