I first heard about DJ Love by discovering Yosuke's pier party series, Concrete. Yosuke had posted a live recording from her set in 2019, and I was immediately drawn to her frenetic, eclectic musical energy. Unfortunately, it would take 3 years after hearing this set before we were finally able to collaborate on an event together.
Fortunately, in September 2022, we were able to spin together at the legendary underground Philly venue, Upstairs at the 700. DJ Love of course rocked the crowd, which was a mix of APA regulars and a few random groups of friends who were surprised and excited about what they had just walked into.
This APA mix for the month of October is a live recording from that night, capturing the raw energy of DJ Love's open format style. Expect rapid fast rhythms, low end bass bangers, and a music selection from all over the world. Please enjoy!
