Ancient Puzzle Arts Podcast #08: Kamaria's Pura Vida Selection

Hello everyone, and welcome to the February 2021 edition of the monthly Ancient Puzzle Arts podcast! This month we have special guest.... Kamaria !

I was first introduced to Kamaria sometime in early 2018. We connected online and quickly got to know each other better through a love of House music. I was very fascinated by her perspective and curious what it was like living in a metropolitan city like San Jose in tropical Costa Rica. I myself have for some reason lived in nothing but super cold cities (Philadelphia, New York, Pittsburgh and Prague), so I was fascinated by the potential tropical influence that would come out in her music. Indeed it does, which is why I think this mix is a breath of fresh air for the Ancient Puzzle Arts series.

Having kept up with a ton of Kamaria's mixes, I'm a big fan of her modern, Big Room Afro House style. It sounds very of-the-now, dramatic, and gives you an uplifting, floating feeling when listening to her direction in bass and rhythms.
