From the Internet, to in person, back to the Internet! That's the story of this month's guest...Baltimore via Philly's Scott Kelly, aka DJ Kel. I was first introduced to Scott when he became a recent online supporter of the APA podcast series. He liked and shared some mixes and content, and it looked like we had some cool, funky mutual friends, so I took note this is a good person to meet at some point.
Fast forward to this past summer in 2023, Scott drove up from Baltimore to attend APA regular Dan Edwards' annual summer party, Sonic Garden at Glendinning Rock Garden. It took me a minute to put a face and person to the recent APA supporter, but fortunately Scott introduced himself at Sonic Garden and we got to chatting. Though he lives in Baltimore now, I did not realize his long standing connection with Philly DJ culture, specifically doing a long time radio show series on WKDU. I'm a huge fan of WKDU, so it was cool to meet another member of the WKDU family. I'm also a big fan of Baltimore, and it was great to hear he is immersed in the thriving Baltimore DJ culture as well.
